Weddingbee ideas

I love how on the blog I can "reply" to a specific user's comment -- it makes it more personal and easier to refer back to someone's original question or statement.  Is this something that could be implemented on the boards as well?

The software that powers the blog and the boards is pretty different!

Anything is possible!  But alas, it's not a copy/paste job...

I think this would be useful too.  Especially when the threads get so long and you are referring to someone several posts before you.

I totally created a new "idea" the other day for this very feature. Obviously I was not smart and didn't check to see if anyone else, like awesome Mrs. Cupcake, had already requested it. :)

I"m not really sure how the blog one works because I haven't seen that... but i think it'd be kind of cool if there was a way to make the boards semi-twitter-esc. In that when you type (for example) @masala there would be something on her screen that shows that someone is talking about her :)

Love it! But would we be notified that we got a reply, or would we still have to go back through all the boards? I think notification is important here, too.

I've often wondered why the boards don't have this capability. I've often worried that I'll be thought of as rude if someone "@"s me and I don't see it, since after the 20th comment or so I start to skim!

I'll vote yay for this too! Especially to the part about being notified somehow - maybe it could be tied to the IM function?
