I think the creator of a poll (in the boards, for example) should have the option to 'close' the poll. Maybe this already exists, but if so it must not be very prominently displayed/well known about, because a LOT of polls keep getting votes after the poster has already made a decision. Often people don't scroll through or read all of the comments before voting, and don't notice that the poll is outdated. Not a big deal, unless eveyone is voting against what you ended up choosing...
