Weddingbee ideas

It could be cool to have a Bee Map, so people can see (in a general sense) where the Bees are located or even where their venues are. Maybe a green dot for where people are blogging from and a blue dot where the venues are?

I think that is a great idea!!  If there was a way you could click on different areas of the map to see which Bees are in your region, that would be a helpful geographic breakdown!

yes cool idea for a map.

Any ideas on how we could launch this without it requiring manual updates every time we add bloggers?

Frappr might be an easier way to handle it, but then couldn't anyone add their location? Also spammer could even add info to the map, which could be a problem.

We can only add this if it's easy to update, so any ideas here would be appreciated!

Could we do something like the maps on project wedding. You have to have a log in to change it so anyone couldn't just add their location.

Have it updated with information from people's bios?

And also have different color dots for vendors or a vendor map, so people can see photographers/bakers etc in their area.

such a great idea!

I agree with french bulldog. There's kind of a feature like this on Projectwedding where people update their own location but you could make it so you have to be logged in to add yourself.  Then it wouldn't be updates that Mr. Bee has to do, but members can do if they want to be on the map!
