Weddingbee ideas

I don't like reading people's rants about how BAD a vendor is, but I LOVE to be pointed in the right direction for a good vendor!  I'd love a board dedicated to singing the praises of the vendors that have helped us!

I think if there is a board that is dedicated to vedors, it should be for both good and bad reviews. We obviously don't want vague, snarky, negative comments that are more vengeful than helpful but I appreciate a fair warning as much as the next gal. I have seen a few bad vendor reviews that are seeking revenge but I think a lot of bees would use this option responsibly. 

We all have to take the good with the bad when it comes to our vendors and I would genuinely like to know if someone loved a vendor or if there was some trouble along the way when making my vendor decisions.

I agree Mrs Spitzer, the good with the bad as long as there is no snarkiness or vengefulness.  We need to see the good side as well as the bad side to be able to get the full scope of that vendor, I think thats a great idea!  I have a great review for David's Bridal in Glen Burnie MD if we get this board up and running

I think these would be really useful -- perhaps as a sticky in each local board?

I agree with Humarock, I think something under each local board would probably be most beneficial.  Maybe eventually local boards can have sub tabs, e.g. ceremony locations, reception locations, transportation, photographers, videographers, hair/makeup, etc.

I think this could be helpful too.  Maybe an archive or library list all different vendors, venues that we can link old blog posts and boards that refer to it.  For intstance when someone on the boards asks about a photographer in LA, they can go to this list and see who has referenced before. 

I suggested something similar to this as well- a local board with vendor lists and reviews!

I came into the "Ideas" page to suggest just this! Also, I think posting both positive and negative reviews is necessary. Everything else I was thinking has already been said.

I think this would be very helpful, I like Humarock's idea to have a sticky in each local board for this

I was thinking of something similar. But more of a board where brides can come back to after their wedding and post a review of all the vendors they used on their weddings.

Give them a grade, whether they would recommend them. Pros and cons etc.
