Seems like there are a LOT of us around who are in long distance relationships (maybe that's part of the reason we're on WB? Too much time on our hands? haha), and it makes sense in my mind that there would be a LDR board, or a Distance Planning board or something like that. You know?

We need to have a Weddingbee convention where alot of the blogger Bees and the posting bees come together for a weekend of fun, friendship and wedding talk! Hosted in a major city, bees from all over the US (and even the world) would congregate to share, make new friends and share tons of laughter!

It would be cool to be able to chat with other Weddingbee users in real time, either through a chatroom or through Weddingbee IM. Perhaps the chat capacity that is used for BeeTV could be open all the time for chatting. I imagine the IM as something analogous to Facebook IM, internal to the site.

When I see that someone has posted just a few minutes before me, especially someone whose wisdom I've read nearly every day over the past year, I know we're using the site at the same time, and I can't help but imagine them, sitting at their computer somewhere far away (or maybe nearby!) and I want to reach out and say hello!

Since I'm a Weddingbee addict and all, I find it a little cumbersome to visit the site on my iPhone. I have to zoom in very close to make sure I'm hitting the right tab/link, and it takes a while for images and ads to load when I'm not on a wireless connection. Plus I can comment on the blog from my phone but not the boards. It would be cool if there were a WB app for iPhone similar to the Facebook app.... minimal content for easier readability and no zooming needed. Any other WB/iPhone addicts out there who would like to see this?

A few times, a user has sent me a Private Message and a back-and-forth conversation has begun. However, if I am responding to her third message but I want to refer back to something she said in her first message (that I can't remember off-hand), I have to open a new window to go back and view the first thing she sent to me. It would be cool if Private Messages had more of a threaded appearance, such as conversations on the boards. It would make it easier to have an ongoing private conversation with someone.

Also, this is strictly a visual gripe, but I wish the Private Messages made use of the same font as boards. The typewriter font is not very visually appealing and it doesn't go with the rest of the site.

When someone responds to another reader using the @ symbol, it would send an email about it to the person they are responding to. This would be especially useful as in the Bee blogging portion so you don't have to subscribe to a post to see if you've been responded to. In the boards, at least you can go to your profile and see if someone has responded to a thread you started or commented in. Does this make sense?

A number of people have voted on the suggestion for an iPhone app, adding that they'd actually prefer a Blackberry app:

I dislike that I cannot search any one part of the site directly, in particular the wiki. You have to search everything and then filter by blog, wiki, classifieds, etc., and if you navigate to the second or third pages of results and go back and forth it loses your filter.

I would like a drop down menu where we could pre-select any places (boards, wiki, classifieds, blog) we wanted to search, and be able to select multiple entries or select all. If I know I want the wiki, I want to be able to go straight there.

A corollary to this would be to have a dedicated search box on the wiki page that searches the wiki only.

There's a gallery for e-pics & one for dresses, but not for bridal portraits. I'd love to see what other brides are doing for these pictures. Every now and then I stumbe on some pictures, but it would be great to have a single place for them. I'm not sure if bridal portraits are taken everywhere or not, but definitely have them in Texas.

I would love to have a place where you could go to the personal blog of married bee's. Assuming they are willing to share. There are several Bee's that I would love to keep up with now that they are married, but there is no way of doing that unless they post something specifically about it. Not every bee wants to share that, but for the ones who do, it would be neat to have a centralized place for that sort of thing.

Not sure if this has been suggested already, but I think it would be cool if there were certain preset areas for you to upload photos to your profile. For example, have an area where you could (but don't have to) upload a photo of your ring, your dress, you and your FI together, your venue, etc.

People comment on certain things constantly (like in threads about other things they might say "Oh my sister made a mean comment about my ring because of x"), and I always want to see a picture. I end up searching their archives to see if they have posted a pic and it takes forever! It would be awesome if we could post pics of the things that we would be most likely to talk about right in the profile.

I would really love to peruse some of the older bees posts, but I become weary of going through them alphabetically and looking at the date and location. If you could filter them by month, location, type (urban, rural, seaside, garden, museum, etc), I think I would be more successful in finding previous bloggers posts that are relative to my wedding planning. (I'm thinking like shopping sites where you drill down to what you want: Women's>>Dresses>>Size 8>>Black.) I know that a wiki page was developed that breaks them down into month, but the more comprehensive, all on one page, filtering system seems like it would serve the purpose for many more bee generations to come.

I think that there should be some more places listed in the NY section of the local boards. I know that there is Capital Area & Hudson Valley & Upstate, but I feel like everyone not from NYC puts themselves in Upstate. There are like 3 sections for there alone.

I've seen people from the Adirondack area put themselves into Upstate, and it's hard because upstate is left for Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, Jamestown...places around there, but each place is so far away that there are different places in each city when we need to ask for advice.
